About My Clients
I have a decade of experience helping my clients navigate spiritual awakening, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, codependency, sexual dysfunction, identity struggles, addiction, relationship issues, and other difficult emotional experiences and discover how their innate wisdom communicates to them through these experiences. I love to support people with stepping out of the internal battle and reorienting into the natural flow of themselves and I believe this is possible for everyone.
My Background and Approach
I am knowledgeable in and passionate about a wide variety of spiritual awakening experiences and practices and how these deeper realizations can integrate into your life. Because of my own background I naturally include Eastern, Western, and alternative approaches to psychology and well-being in my work. I approach my clients as the fellow human beings that you are. I may have knowledge, personal experience, and expertise to share, but you developing a closer relationship with yourself and learning to access and trust the inherent intelligence of your being is what I’m most interested in. I draw upon a variety of modalities in session such as CBT, DBT, MBSR, ACT, IFS, somatic approaches, and other identity and meaning-making focused approaches. My gentle, nonjudgmental presence, and calming demeanor (so I’m told), as well as my transparency, honesty, humor, and vast personal experience in the world of suffering and growth, helps my clients relax into the therapeutic experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe there is a core part of ourselves that possesses an inherent intelligence and creative power and through adverse or traumatic experiences we developed identities and defense mechanisms that cut us off from our innate trust in that part of ourselves. Whether it is from family, peers, society, culture, other authority figures, or other sources in our lives, there exists generations of psychological programming that each of us has to contend with within ourselves. The process of psychotherapy is one of discovering and releasing all that is not you and I believe that the innate wisdom of your being contains the blueprint for this unfolding. We come together in the therapy room and your willingness to open to yourself initiates a co-creative process where we discover together what the next step is on your path to deeper trust. I have a love and reverence for all people and believe we are all worthy of the same profound richness and satisfaction that is possible in life.
