Nobody is born with low self-esteem. As toddlers, we make noises, laugh, dance, and play like nobody is watching. Then, something changes. You suddenly don't believe in yourself. You get embarrassed or beat yourself up about how you performed. Your life experiences, interactions with others, and other social and environmental factors have likely played a role in how your perceive yourself and what you believe about your abilities. I believe in your ability to believe in yourself again.
Do you spend lots of time constructing text messages and emails, because you worry about what others will think? Or perhaps you worry about social interactions because you're still embarrassed about that thing you said or did 6 months ago. Social phobia, more commonly referred to as social anxiety, can make interacting feel dreadful. I've helped others just like you. Together, we can work to identify and restructure the beliefs you hold about yourself so you can stop avoiding people.
Muscle tension. Difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep at night because your "brain won't turn off". Fatigue. Irritability. Constant worry. Those can all be indicators of anxiety. Together we can work on calming techniques that work for you, identify the obstacles that are keeping you from getting restful sleep, and process the things that are most worrisome to eliminate or reduce the intensity of the worry. Your body is not designed to be in a constant state of stress.
