About My Clients
Are you are seeking a place to authentically explore your identity? Would you like to be able to bring you full self to the therapeutic space? I practice therapy as a means to break down systems of oppression - by coming alongside you as you discover what your path will be. I work primarily with trans/nonbinary adults and adolescents, and I am dedicated to helping anyone explore the spectrums they are on with gentleness, authenticity, and compassion.
My Background and Approach
I am focused on being in relationship with you as you navigate your path. We will explore your values, history, relationships, and identity in ways that feel affirming and sustaining. I take a social-justice oriented stance and value creating space specifically for clients of marginalized identities and backgrounds. I practice using Relational Cultural Theory (RCT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatics (body-based healing), Mindful Self-Compassion, and creative arts.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is guided by values of autonomy and self-determination, transformative justice, interdependence, and collective liberation. I have training and education in working with clients of diverse sexualities, racial and ethnic identities, faiths and spiritual practices, neurotypes, bodies, and abilities. I have experience working with clients who are people of the global majority (PGM)/BIPOC, come from collectivist cultures, and have personal and familial experience with immigration and forced migration. Although I may not share all of your identities, I will work hard to create a relationship that is rooted in relating across difference (in the words of Audre Lorde).
