Therapy is about digging in and getting our hands dirty as we create the path to success and start walking it. Whether we're measuring our efforts in inches or miles, we'll always be moving closer to your goals. The most honest thing I can say is that we work. We work hard. Therapy can be exciting and fun. It can also be exhausting and painful. Either way, we'll be in it together.
My Background and Approach
I began my work providing therapeutic services as a counselor with specialization in marriage, family, and child therapy and have had the pleasure of working with individuals, families, and couples for the last 10 years. I am currently a licensed psychologist providing psychotherapy with a cognitive-behavioral focus. My roots, combined with my doctoral training, have allowed me to integrate evidence-based practices and interventions specific to working with children, families, and couples. This has culminated in my expert ability to teach you the skills you need to navigate the obstacles in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My educational and professional journey has allowed me to gain the background and experience needed to help adults and children through the most difficult times in their lives. I strive to provide treatment that fits with each individual client and therefore have gained extensive experience in using a number of therapeutic modalities. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Biodfeedback and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Additionally, my doctoral training specialized in neuropsychology and I am skilled at treating trauma and assessing and treating neurocognitive dysfunction.
