About My Clients

Life transitions, however deeply desired, can cause us to confront unexpected challenges. I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and relationships of all varieties to have the lives, relationships, and families we most long for. While I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and families, I welcome the opportunity to work with anyone who may benefit from a feminist, trauma-informed, mindfulness-focused approach to individual therapy and couples counseling.

My Background and Approach

At the core of my practice is my unwavering belief in our individual and collective potential for change and capacity to heal. As a therapist, I see myself as a partner in your work to reconnect to yourself, to make meaning of and integrate your experiences, and to create space for you to find presence and peace in your life. My style is direct, collaborative, compassionate, and values-driven. I work to practice humility and grace with myself, and to create space for learning, growth, joy, and connection in our relationship. I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Washington in 2018, where I currently serve as a part-time faculty member in the MSW program. I am a Level 3 Certified Gottman Method Couples Therapist, and have advanced training in reproductive and perinatal mental health.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Over the course of my career, regardless of any given role, I have passionately pursued the potential for personal and social change. After spending almost two decades working in LGBTQ+ communities and advancing equity initiatives in nonprofit and healthcare organizations, I decided to pursue the work that spoke most to my heart, purpose, and values - providing therapy and support to LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and families as they navigate the journey to parenthood and creating loving, sustainable, and satisfying relationships. It was my experience navigating and healing from postpartum depression and anxiety after the birth of our first child that shaped my understanding of the gaps in care for LGBTQ+ individuals and families as we navigate this transformative season of life. My personal and professional experience experience shaped my understanding of how trauma and systemic oppression shapes our lives and relationships, and the power and potential for healing in community.
