About My Clients

Those who have experienced hardships in life struggle to believe in their worthiness of being seen. These events can leave you with long lasting emotional disruptions or difficulty in developing safe relationships. You may also struggle with moving from your cognitive mind into your emotional mind because you've never felt safe. You shouldn't have to look at life through the lens of distrust and pain any longer, and I want to help you break these filters down for good.

My Background and Approach

As we work together, you will find that you're working in a partnership with someone who prioritizes the trust and value of the relationship so that you can feel safe in every session. I offer a humanistic and person-centered approach to each client and tailor all treatment plans to fit you, exactly as your are in this very moment. We will work together to make meaning of your life experiences to help connect the dots between your past and present self. Additionally, I have received training in TF-CBT to support those struggling with processing trauma and managing trauma symptoms.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that each person is capable of being seen, heard, and cared for on a deep and meaningful level. I have personally witnessed the power of human resiliency and know that you have potential to find your own healing. Therapy can be challenging emotionally and physically draining at times. I aim to strike a balance of challenging you to break your own cycles while uplifting you and magnifying your strengths so that you don't leave sessions feeling raw and helpless. I believe in mental health care that examines intersectionality between culture, race, religion, and economic status that impacts your mental health. I have provided therapy to a variety of individuals from different backgrounds working in the community setting. I am LGBTQIA+ friendly, body-positive, and culturally sensitive to all races and backgrounds. I participate in ongoing educational opportunities to provide the most sensitive care to all.
