My Background and Approach
Across my life, I have worked with different community-based organizations to help children, adolescents and families meet their mental wellness goals. My goal is to develop a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients and to help them feel seen, heard, and understood. I have worked with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Bronx Works, and the Bronx Public School System to provide evidenced-base programming to children, families, and the community at-large. Over the last seven years, my work has been focused on children, adolescents, and families. Through collaboration, I’ve worked alongside my clients to improve their mental wellness via counseling, education and advocacy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. Life is designed for us to constantly learn and evolve into the best version of ourselves. My approach to care is person centered and solution focused. I also draw from different cognitive therapies to support my clients and move them beyond their mental health conditions and situations. I do not discriminate against anyone, and I strive to be multiculturally competent.
