I am a psychedelic-assisted therapist, and am certified by the California Institute for Integral Studies (CIIS), MAPS for MDMA (parts A-D).
Therapist in Saint Paul, MN
I am very experienced and trained working with ACT, and integrate the concepts of ACT into most of the work that I do- focusing on changing the way we relate to internal processes, and learning to gain distance from "narratives" and stories that aren't serving us well.
Underlying all of my work is a focus on meaning-making and supporting clients in uncovering their values, and inner sources of meaning. I believe that someone "who has a why to live for, can endure any how." Human beings are sense-making creatures, and we must all develop a framework for navigating life and the tragedy it inevitably brings.
I love to explore spirituality and one's relationship to the Universe at large. Transpersonal therapy is highly relevant to psychedelic experiences, as they often times "go beyond" personal stories, and help connect us to those mysterious things beyond our understanding.
I work a lot with various forms of anxiety, and support clients in changing the way they relate to internal thought processes.
I have experience supervising therapists and other staff , most of whom experience struggles associated with being in a helping profession. I work with providers of all kinds who grapple with making sense out of suffering, and focus on building a framework for navigating tragedy.
I am trained in various trauma-modalities and work with PTSD & other struggles associated with trauma and traumatic experiences.
OCD is one of my specialty areas, and I have personal experience growing up with OCD into my mid 20s. I work with all "types" of OCD, including pure "O" and scrupulosity. I have a lot of experience working with religious trauma and it's connection to OCD.
