About My Clients
I work with clients who may notice feeling stressed, stuck, or drained and would like to find clarity on how to move forward. We'll collaborate to develop a realistic plan to support you in feeling more at peace within yourself and more confident and fulfilled in your choices and your relationships.
My Background and Approach
My goal as a therapist is to create a space where you feel empowered to find your voice amidst often contradictory familial, professional, and societal expectations. Each of us processes the world differently and I support clients to build tools for growth while feeling heard, seen and affirmed. My approach is culturally sensitive, warm, and pragmatic. I support a range of adult individuals and provide specific expertise to neurodiverse, multiracial, multicultural, and first-generation clients who may feel lost or marginalized by the mainstream narrative of American society. I use strengths-based, mindfulness-oriented, and intersectional methods to foster healing and clarity on your path toward personal fulfillment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The resilience of the human spirit inspires me, and it is a privilege to witness the transformative and healing power of human connection. I believe that just as we can be wounded in relationships, we can also heal in them. My training in modern psychodynamics allows a space where the relationship between client and therapist is a space of non-judgment, compassion, and an opportunity to process and make sense of the challenges you face. I hold a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Northwestern University and completed an externship in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), as well as advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindful Self-Compassion.
