About My Clients
I love working with individuals and couples on work-life balance, family planning, stressors, anxiety, parenting, and communication. I utilize cognitive behavioral strategies (CBT) to bring a solution-oriented approach. Together, clients and I address messages and values and brainstorm ways to achieve the goals desired. I also take a holistic approach- emphasizing client self care, such as exercise and sleep. Clients have said they find the sessions very calming, insightful and efficient.
My Background and Approach
My credentials and experience are helping individuals and couples with stress, change and communication. Therapy has been my one and only career and I have spent my 25 years in this field, refining how to best support every client with empathy, understanding, and compassion. I also value efficiency and practical strategies in my work. I feel like what I do best with clients is bring this balance of immense support, while providing a place for practical ideas... all with the goals of a better sense of calm and clarity for the client.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly value the idea that everyone should have access to counseling- regardless of ability to pay, or any demographic. I am pleased to offer telehealth which has also improved the accessibility of counseling as well. My fees, hours and cancellation policy are extremely realistic for people living in The Bay Area. For example, I request 24 hours, but life has provided us with so many challenges, that I allow my clients to text me and we can try to rebook within the same week. As mentioned, I value connection with clients, as well as practical strategies .
