CBT is the gold standard for counseling. Clients who learn to understand their own thought processes (and that of their partner) can get pretty quickly to addressing their unwanted behaviors. CBT is especially helpful for highly intelligent individuals, and those at the high-functioning end of the autism spectrum.

Couples counseling is my passion, my training, and the core of my practice. I am trained in both Gottman and Schnarch theory, with specialty training in sex therapy and financial (personal and family business) counseling.

SFBT gets motivated clients focused on solutions -- quick solutions that are sustainable over time. SFBT doesn't spend a great deal of time wondering about how you were potty trained. It focuses on the here and now, and gets problems solved.
