About My Clients
Typically, my clients are young adults who may be experiencing some life transitions, are seeking to improve their relationships or may experience anxiety. I work with individuals and families so that they feel empowered in their relationships and have adequate skills and tools to navigate life's struggles.
My Background and Approach
I am a student therapist from NYU. I am a strength-based therapist and provide my clients with a safe space to process complex emotions. I connect with my clients because it is important for me to know them as individuals so that we are developing strategies that are realistic for clients to implement in their day to day lives. I incorporate approaches from various methods such as CBT or solution focused counseling while utilizing your strengths to support the implementation of these approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I believe that every client should feel supported in their therapy space. I work with a diverse client base and exploring how our unique differences shape our experiences in the world. I believe that we are all able to overcome obstacles we are presented with, it is just a matter of putting the right tools and framework in place. I support my clients in developing this framework so that they are able to navigate obstacles. In the therapy room, we focus on developing tools and skills which can be applied in real time in day to day life, whether you are at work, at school or on public transit. Panic attacks, trauma flashbacks and depressive episodes are unpredictable aand can happen anywhere so it is important that you carry multiple tools in your tool belt which is what I support my clients to do.
