About My Clients
I help adults navigate the ups and downs of being human, inspire new ways of thinking, and learn new ways of being. I trust that you are the expert of your own life and will treat you as such. Your experiences and feedback guide what's covered in therapy, which makes our time together individualized to who you are and relevant to what's going on in your life.
My Background and Approach
I incorporate a mindfulness, self-compassion, personalized approach with clients. My role is not to judge or tell you how to live your life, but to facilitate hope, healing, and direction in the most authentic way possible. My style is affirming, strengths-based, and client-centered, gained from years of counseling experience in crisis, addiction, recovery, behavioral, and mental health settings. With the words of Nelson Mandela in mind, "may your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears." I will offer a safe space to grow into new ways to live and thrive, unlearn learned behaviors that aren't serving you, and dive deep into the unknown and into new perspectives. Together, we will generate resolutions to create a sense of calm, relief, and joy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves individualized support, tailored to their unique and diverse experiences. Meeting a person where they are at with sincere compassion and empathy can go a long way. I believe that healing and transformation is possible and inside each of us there is a capacity for change. Through the practice of yoga, meditation, painting, drawing, writing, and therapy, I have facilitated the healing of my own wounds and have learned how to nourish myself. There is freedom in sifting through what is no longer serving you in order to stand in your power. I invite you to allow me join you on your journey of self-discovery and healing with me as your guide.
