About My Clients
I specialize in working with individuals who have personality traits, specifically working largely with people of diverse age range with BPD and children or partners of others with NPD/or Narcissistic tendencies. I also work within the queer community, helping others gain access to gender affirming care as well as many of my clients come in to work with their depression, anxiety, self-esteem, attachment-based issues, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
My background in the field is having my bachelors and masters degree in psychology and art therapy. My early history within the field has been focused on utilizing art therapy and other expressive techniques with client. I am also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and approaches that I specialize in are dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), attachment-based therapies and relational approach. With all of these being the way I approach therapy, the working relationship between client and myself is at the forefront of the work, recognizing how important relationships and connection are in our life related to growth. I strive to create a space that is anti-racist, body-neutral, sex and kink-positive, and queer-friendly in order for my clients to feel safe exploring their vulnerability. The focus of my approach will always be to put you, as the client first in the room, and holding space for whatever you need in the moment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people are capable of growth and that connection and self acceptance are at the core of the journey. I have worked in a variety of settings throughout my career, and know that as people, how we generally appear at the start is just the beginning cover of the many complex pages that are to be explored moving forward. As a queer transmasculine person, I value bringing identities into the space and recognizing how intersectionality of identities impact mental health and each persons lived experience. I emphasize in therapy the importance of a collaborative and consent based experience and really meeting people where they are at.
