About My Clients
My clients are amazing people with diverse backgrounds and experiences. By working together, we can build a collaborative relationship focused on helping you achieve your highest and best. I especially work with kids and adults on the Autism Spectrum, and Couples wanting to improve or save their relationship.
My Background and Approach
As an existential psychotherapist, my main goal is to support everyone in embracing their circumstances and abilities so they can live fulfilling lives. We will discuss your situations, find your strengths, and create new experiences. I believe in your courage and creativity. I received my counseling education while serving with Family Violence Prevention Services at Haven for Hope, especially working with men in recovery from homelessness, addiction, abuse, and aggressive lifestyles. I have been an educator and an ESL teacher for children for over 20 years, and am also a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. As a couples counselor, my goal is to see the strengths in each person and in their relationship, and find what is missing so that we can create solutions together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the goodness inside each person. To me, life is a process of experiencing and responding, and it is up to each person to create the meaning they seek in life. I am non-judgmental and able to see many sides of a situation. I will tell you what I think, but I also expect that you take an active role in leading your own therapy. You are the expert on your own life!
