About My Clients
I work with clients who are in various stages of life. My area of expertise is with those struggling with trauma, relationship problems, and life transitions. I am very comfortable working with the LGBTQ+ community, including open relationships/polyamory. I’d love to chat to see if this would be a good fit for you!
My Background and Approach
I received my masters degree from The University of Alabama in 2017. I spent some time working at a residential eating disorder facility before opening my private practice at the end of 2019. I believe that all individuals have the ability to overcome life's struggles if they are given the needed tools and knowledge. My approach to therapy combines highly effective therapy models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy with a solution-focused mindset. I believe that the client is the expert of their own life but needs some help navigating and understanding their experiences and emotions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community is what led me into the field of mental health. Although I am not a member of the community, I have deep connections through close friends and have personally witnessed the prejudices this community often faces. My practice is open to all. There is no discrimination based on gender, sex, sexual orientation, race, or religion.
