About My Clients
I am passionate about in treating people experiencing trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders and addictions. I am LGBTQIA affirming therapist and specialize in helping people going through life transitions . Whether its exploring sexuality or gender identity, I will support you along the way, offering resources, coping skills and safe place to process life.
My Background and Approach
People often describe me as "A warm, tell- it -like- it -is therapist who doesn't just sit there and nod her head during sessions." Because every client and issue is different, I spend every first visit getting to know my clients personally.We then can put our heads together, determine what we can do to improve things and then take this journey together. My primary method of therapy is Cognitive-Behavioral, which focuses on reframing distorted, negative thought patterns that have caused distress and inhibited progress and/or personal growth. It is equally important to me to understand how your life experiences have shaped you into who you are today. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach but rather a collaboration that highlights solutions and effective ways of coping.
