About My Clients

As a Black woman and a corporate America survivor, I look forward to working with BIPOC women at all phases in their career journey to help them embrace their voice, power, and worth. This may mean addressing that imposter syndrome that is probably holding you back, or working through your co-dependency patterns that are getting in the way of you having deeply fulfilling relationships, or working through unproductive thoughts and beliefs so that you can show up as your true authentic self!

My Background and Approach

My therapeutic style is very collaborative, active, client-centered, and informed by each client's cultural context. I am passionate about getting to know my clients as a WHOLE person, including your racial, cultural, gender identity - and all of the intersections that make up who you are. We will work collaboratively to identify the underlying issues that are getting in the way of your growth and wellbeing. Our work together will include discussions about race, culture, gender, class, etc. Using a combination of skills based interventions, mindfulness, and interpersonal/relational feedback has helped my clients identify patterns of coping which were not serving them, feel more present and integrated with their feelings, thoughts, and body, and establish healthier more fulfilling relationships. Starting your therapy journey can feel overwhelming and can bring up a lot of fear and anxiety. That means it's time!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a Black-Latinx therapist, I feel strongly about providing mental health space that is validating, affirming, and empowering for women and POC. I believe therapy is truly a radical and revolutionary act of self-care and activism. Allowing yourself to establish such an intimate emotional relationship can lead you to discover parts of yourself that have been hidden, silenced, and neglected. Therapy for me has been an integral part of what has allowed me to become a better therapist, a more compassionate partner, more grounded and calm mother, clear in my values and in my beliefs, and has empowered me to make bold decisions, trust myself and my community, and show up as my full self. I want alllllll those things for all of my clients - and I know I can help you get there too.
