My Background and Approach
I am a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), with 12+ years of counseling experiences working with variety of clients from all different cultural backgrounds, educational levels, career paths, relationship status. Before being in private practice, I have worked in agencies where I provided therapy/counseling services to hundreds if patients from Primary Care clinics, survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, Calworks recipients and refugees. I am specialized in anxiety, trauma, marriage and relationship issues. I am trained and practice with DBT, ACT, EMDR, Solution-focused, Problem-Solving, Gottman Method. I also have experiences with developing and implementing emotional wellness projects at Asian Women's Home including the counseling services, support groups, group facilitator trainings, and staff support plans. I have experiences supervising MSW(Master of Social Worker) interns as well.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love being a therapist, it gives me so much fulfillment and blessings to be able to work with so many amazing people like you who might have not realized how beautiful and wonderful they are yet. No matter how difficult your situations are, or how bad you feel about yourself at the moment, this is not the end of the story. You're not alone, I am here to help you walk through this particular difficult part of your life. My therapeutic style is simple: I listen, I understand, I empower and I give the right amount of professional advice and challenges at the right timing. I always believe in teamwork, with you being the expert of yourself who is committed to make changes in your life, Me being someone who is very good at helping her clients strengthening their coping skills and restoring their relationships. I am sure we make a great team!
