About My Clients
Do you ever feel overcome by emotions like anxiety, panic, sadness, irritability, anger, guilt, etc? You may not even always know what triggered them and they seem to come up out of nowhere. Or maybe you have memories from your past that lead to these emotions. It's affecting your relationships, work, or being able to take care of yourself or your family. A lot of my clients are adult survivors of childhood trauma. If any of this sounds like you, you're not alone!
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Therapist, certified yoga teacher, trained in EMDR therapy, and provide Ketamine-Assisted Therapy. I often use yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises in session to help you better manage feelings like anxiety, sadness, irritability, shame, etc. Through these integrative/holistic services, I will work with you to help you discover the root causes of your anxiety, depression, or other symptoms and overcome past trauma. We will approach this in a gentle and calm way, at a pace that feels right for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The first reason I am so passionate about using therapy, EMDR, and yoga for helping others is because I personally experienced how helpful they were in my own healing journey. The second reason is because I have witnessed them help my clients too! And I am always trying to stay up to date on new ways to improve mental health, especially for those who have experienced trauma. For example: I am working toward certification in Ketamine/Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy; I'm trained to complete Immigration Evaluations for those seeking Asylum, VAWA, or Hardship cases; I provide pro-bono therapy for foster youth; and I just helped wrap up a research study on treatment for young adults with Schizophrenia.
