About My Clients
I see all types of individuals and families, but have a passion for working with young adults and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness/pain, self-esteem, co-dependency, perfectionism, people pleasers, transitions, and/or relationship conflicts.
My Background and Approach
I received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University. I previously worked in a community clinic where I saw and array of clients with many different presenting problems. For my approach I utilize a Client-Centered approach which focuses on collaborating and meeting the client where they are currently at. I focus on providing a safe place for my clients to explore their emotions with a warm and empathetic approach. I believe that each client is unique and different which allows me to pull from different treatment modalities depending on what would work best for each individual. Some modalities include Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-based, and am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally believe that every person can benefit form therapy. I believe each client has the potential to grow and develop a stronger sense of self through the therapeutic process and overall I hope to build a strong relationship with my clients being able to provide new perspectives and tools in order for my clients to create a stronger and more positive self-narrative.
