About My Clients
Maggie has over 20 years of experience working to empower, provide support and resources to, as well as advocating for individuals of all ages who face challenging life circumstances. Maggie has over a decade of specialized experience working in non-profit violence prevention programs. My Background and Approach
For the past nine years, Maggie has worked in the Chicago Public School system as a liaison between counseling practitioners and administrative disciplinarians. In this role, she has focused on identifying and better understanding underlying contributing factors to adolescent behaviors in order to provide support and resources to the student and their family. Specifically, she works directly with the student to better understand their emotions and gain control of their thoughts and behaviors and then with caregivers to address behavioral concerns, and link to community resources as needed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We all encounter challenging experiences and complex life choices. We begin to see and feel these stressors in early childhood, and as we age we often find ourselves facing and trying to understand many social and emotional changes. No matter what stage of life, therapy can be of great support and comfort as you explore the many and ever-changing aspects of your development and growth. I believe that, as a clinician, my role is to collaborate with you and support you as you go through life’s journey. I provide a comforting safe space that is judgment free, compassionate, kind and client-centered. I understand that you are an individual like no other and will embrace your unique self in therapy. If you feel that I may be of support to you in your path to discovery, insight and mindfulness, please reach out to me.
