Counselor in Washington
Supervised by Jeremy Hulley, MA LMHC SEP
I am an activist member of the LGBTQ+ communities and have provided group and individual vocational counseling for people related to the Ingersoll Gender Center in Seattle for over 5 years. I further worked with many community folks in my vocational rehabilitiation counseling position with the state. I understand the added barriers to community and to access to economic strength that LGBTQ+ people face and how to manage those barriers.
As a vocational counselor, I have helped dozens of people find and gain meaningful work that provides a living wage and a future for them and their families. I have worked with people wanting employment in a wide range of industries and with those who are starting with a need to find their path. I have provided guidance from high school students to PhD students and professionals. I have also counseled entrepreneurs who wanted to develop their income creatively and independently.
As a specialist in vocational rehabilitation, my experience is in empowering my clients to reach their full potential in work and health and in their life path. My education in rehabilitation counseling supports my expertise in helping people overcome barriers created by disability, mental or physical. I have worked with many gender diverse individuals as they have re-imagined and re-created their lives and utilized my skills in counseling and guidance.
