Today your legs feel heavier and everything is pulling you down. You look to your past, but can’t let it take over. You have more important things to do. The pain is deep, so deep, but your will for living, your strength is much stronger. You may not be sure where to turn in this moment, but you know you’ve got to find a way through this tunnel, back to the light. If your heart is speaking to you, calling out, I am here to assist you and build the path to healing.
You came here to get away from the violence the pain and the inequality and found your self here. Among systems that don’t work in ways that you hoped, wading through new cultural expectations and convincing yourself this was the better path to take. Is there room for you? Room for your pain and room to share your story your pain. I can be of assistance as we navigate through a new culture or re defining yourself. I have significant experience working with refugee and marginalized populations.
Narrative therapy offers a collaborative approach that views people and problems as separate. A client reporting a relationship with depression would not be labeled as depressed, but rather, would be viewed as persons who are sometimes paid a visit by depression. We all have a one of a kind way to heal. I work with you to explore and discover that unique formula. I am open to all mediums, poetry, music and other holistic healing forms to find a way to heal your soul.
I am here to help you find the best way to move past the consumption of life this grief has caused. It can be easy to feel isolated and alone during this time. I will be a support to you while we move through this period together. It will get better and there is light at the end of the tunnel. The work we will do together will illuminate the other sides of the story sides that might get lost to the oppression of grief and loss. I look forward to being of assistance and starting our journey.
PTSD has a long history of stealing souls from unsuspecting bystanders. We can be struck with it immediately and feel the weight of its influence like hitting a brick wall. Or it might creep up slowly and before we know it we are consumed by its presence. In either instance we find ourselves detached from the world unable to reconnect and vulnerable to the volatile ways of past traumas. Together we will get to the heart of the matter and dive into the ways that PTSD has taken you hostage.
I am no stranger to the deep wounds systemic and cultural oppression has inflicted on communities and individuals. My international work, experience with marginalized populations has given me great insight. I understand the deep rooted systems at work and believe in activism in therapy. We will work together to dispel stories of hate so you can reclaim your culture, your identity and your confidence. You were born beautiful and unaffected by these systems. Now its time to kick them out!
