About My Clients

My clients are young and middle-aged adults (18-50) who live in California and Washington state. The majority of my clients are women who are in need of a Trauma Informed Therapist with expertise in women's mental health. I'm a good fit for clients who: are motivated to recover from a traumatic event, invested in learning how to better manage symptoms of anxiety in the long-term, and wish to gain more confidence while increasing their sense of self-love.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is to view you as the capable person you are. A person who is able to make positive and lasting life change. You're a person, just like me and anyone else, who happens to be dealing with something painful and difficult. We'll focus on what is occurring in your life and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together we'll develop goals for therapy. I'll put together a treatment plan by applying the therapeutic approaches and techniques that are the best fit for your unique needs. I've been a therapist since 2010 and have extensive clinical training. I've served as a therapist at non-profits, The Department of Veteran Affairs, and community based mental health centers. I'm trained in several evidenced-based therapy approaches, including a gold standard trauma focused therapy (Cognitive Processing Therapy). I'm Certified in Clinical Anxiety Treatment and a Certified Telemental Health Therapist (specializing in online therapy).

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Being a part of someone's healing is a honor & I take great pride in being a therapist. Life is joyous, challenging, & at times excruciatingly painful for everyone. I'm grateful to have a profession that allows me to use my compassion & empathy to help others. We all deserve to be listened too, understood, & given the tools we need to heal & move forward. I support the Black Lives Matters movement, advocate for ending gun violence, and connected to the LGBTQ community.
