About My Clients
I have experience working in school-based and community mental health outpatient settings addressing each individual’s challenges in life functioning and to get them to reach their goals. I have a passion for working with youth, adolescents, adults, and families where I am able to support individuals in changing their lives and utilizing healthy coping skills to manage and lead a healthy lifestyle.
My Background and Approach
I received my MA in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from Palo Alto University, Pacific Graduate School of Psychology. Prior to that I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Adolescent Development from San Jose State University. I am skilled in working with individuals with depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance use, and stress. I am strength based and goal oriented. I approach therapy through a collaborative and realistic lens, through empathy, and from a client-centered approach focusing on helping my clients connect to their thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. I have experience working with youth and adults using CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.
