About My Clients
My primary focus/ ideal clients are client who experience : Anxiety, Depression and Trauma. Primary modality used in my practice is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Trauma informed , 8 step protocol practice. EMDR Therapy facilitates the accessing and processing of traumatic memories and other adverse life experiences to bring these to adaptive resolution. Successful treatment will reduce/ relieve distress, negative beliefs and reduce/ reformulate psychological arousal.
My Background and Approach
As a Psychotherapist, I pride myself in meeting my clients "where they are " and walking the journey beside you. Compassion, empathy and action are the leading elements in my approarch as a Therapist which allow me to connect, motivate and elicit progressive change in my clients. I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for over 10 years, working with various populations and specialized areas which have set the foundation and framework from which I work from today. I received my Master's in Social Work from Cal State University, Northridge in 2011. I also hold a Dual Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Criminology in 2007 . In my personal time, I enjoy to spending time with Family, Friends and seeking my next adventure. I live to travel. I enjoying the process of learning and discovery that comes with Traveling. I also enjoy utilizing my creative energy engaging in creating jewelry, DIY projects and holistic practices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a first generation Latinx , I pride myself in working with Adults going through the generational transition, acclimation and hardships that can come along the way. I believe in helping and breaking the generational traumas that are passed down consciously and unconsciously through both our culture and family dynamics. I have worked with cultures and populations and truly feel that therapy should be accessible to ALL.
