About My Clients
I have helped children, teens, adults and families work through issues related to depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, coping with chronic illness, domestic violence, trauma, divorce and relationship transitions, addiction, parenting support, bullying and school related stress, opposition and anger. I am LGBTQ affirming. I will be accepting, flexible and non-judgmental, whether you're exploring questions around gender identity and/or sexual orientation, or just need someone who gets it.
My Background and Approach
Finding a therapist who you connect to is important in achieving your goals. With over 15 years experience, I bring warmth, compassion, humor, truthful communication and collaboration to the therapy process, offering a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings creatively and work toward solutions and resolutions at your own pace. My approach to therapy is relational. Therapy is a co-created and active process; I bring myself fully to sessions, encouraging my clients to do the same, in order for them to explore risks, take comfort, and find their own voice. I approach treatment from a person-centered standpoint, matching interventions and approaches to the needs and goals of each client, such as: psychodynamic, humanistic, arts-based approaches, trauma-informed practice, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
