I specialize in relationships - the ones between you and the world, you and others, you and yourself, and even the one between you and me.

With a collaborative and authentic approach, I'll both challenge you and honor your pace. I’m not a fixer, but I will draw from evidence-based and trauma-informed care to help you help yourself. As for how I show up in the room, that may depend on what you need that day. I will always encourage you to speak up for whatever that is - do you need more structure? a slower pace? a skill? do you need me to shut up so you can vent? do you have no idea what you need? No worries, we can wing it.
This is why I chose Marriage and Family Therapy: I cannot ignore the role of relationships. From infant attachments to those we share with our neighbors, our phones, our politics, and ourselves - relationships can make or break us. Do not forget, though: mental health struggles are often more symptomatic of society's failed relationships than our own.
I work mainly from a Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral framework, but I integrate interventions to meet your unique needs. I also use a multicultural lens; this means I attend to cultural and systemic factors, such as race, gender, class, size, sexual orientation, religion, ability, and contexts of power, oppression, privilege, and others.
