About My Clients
Life can bring on many challenges. The first step toward changing difficult circumstances is to ask for help. I have experience helping clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety/stress, panic attacks, grief, and chronic illness. I have extensive training in couple therapy and infertility related issues.
My Background and Approach
I have a master's degree in psychology and a PhD in marriage and family therapy. I provide a supportive and confidential space for you to discuss past and current events/issues that are keeping you from living the productive and fulfilling life that you deserve. You and I will work as a team to explore the causes of those problems and come up with lasting solutions. I have extensive training in emotion focused couple therapy and the Gottman Method. I also have training, research experience, and personal experience with infertility. I know first hand how difficult it can be to receive the diagnosis and go through the treatment. I can help you process the sadness that comes with getting the initial diagnosis or the grief that comes with unsuccessful treatment or pregnancy loss. I can help you navigate your options and work through relationship and family issues that may be caused by infertility.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone deserves to be heard! I believe that most situations, even those that seem hopeless, can improve. I believe that most behaviors can be understood if they are seen in the context of the person's life experiences. Therefore, I avoid judging others and treat everyone with respect and positive regard.
