About My Clients
My clients are looking for a professional to help deal with the hurt of a relationship falling apart, and I specialize in Couples & Individual Counseling in the Dallas area or online in TX. I have been helping over 15 years, to uncover how to enjoy life again, to identify and undo patterns that hold you back individually, or with significant others. I focus on typical relationship repair or neurodiverse couples, and lessening anxiety or depressive symptoms, or even process trauma (EMDR or ETT)
My Background and Approach
I became a therapist because in my first career in business I experienced so many different situations & people who didn’t know how to prioritize their relationships or self care. I saw a need for better emotional health, communication and connection, with healing in relationships, using a person-centered approach (guiding you to find insight, undo patterns, heal from trauma and lessen impact of moods). I focus on relationship repair for typical or neurodiverse couples, as well trauma transformation. My training includes scientific, researched-based couples work of EFT (Emotional Focused Therapy), RLT (Relational Life Therapy) plus I earned AOD (alcohol and other substances) certification in 2006. CBT plus EMDR or ETT are other interventions to support change and processing of trauma. And I worked both in and outpatient substance abuse treatment centers, so know how these issues can have a serious impact on your life, and on your relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have change available, and that undoing patterns involves understanding your past, addressing the present and succeeding in a different, yet positive, future that is one you deserve. Humans are wired for connection, we are healthier and more long living with them. I also help adults with their neurodiversity… and with possible anxiety, depression, even alcohol or Substance Abuse. Through counseling, I help to identify your strengths and work on challenges. There is therapeutic work we can do together, to work towards your satisfying life.
