About My Clients
My clients come from a diversity of background and identities. People I work with come in for a wide variety of human struggle - from everyday anxiety to deep seated sense of disturbance or confusion. Desire to find a way to experience your own self and others differently is what motivates many people to engage in therapeutic process. I do not believe there's an ideal client or ideal therapist - the work of therapy depends on how each particular dyad functions and establishes contact.
My Background and Approach
I come from a background in pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmaceutical development and have navigated extensive training to become a psychotherapist. I believe in deep meaning and opportunity that therapeutic work and therapeutic conversation offers and specialize in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic work. I cherish and embrace the complexity of human experience and the way each individual generates meaning under the influence of internal and external factors.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We live in tremendously complex times. I believe each person strives to become free, and feel free - free to enjoy life, free to enjoy one's own self and others. How we get there can often get complicated. Pain, confusion, feeling lost, unseen or underappreciated - these often make it difficult to experience life in its fullness. Systems of oppression, be those familial or societal, often cause an immense amount of pain. I believe in exploring those experiences on the way to find new sense of freedom and internal composition.
