About My Clients

I work with my clients to restore their hope, find healing, and regain their self-confidence. Together we address your struggles and concerns and seek to improve your daily functioning.  Using evidence-based practices, you will gain the skills and knowledge needed to pursue your goals. I offer a supportive and confidential environment, a place of presence that respects your values, beliefs, and preferences. You will discover solutions to problems and define what change and growth mean for you.

My Background and Approach

My approach to counseling is client-centered, which means that your story, feedback, collaboration, and goals help define the tools and type of counseling that will best serve your needs and goals. My background includes a Master of Counseling Psychology Degree and a Bachelor's degree focused on pastoral studies. I also have training in mediation and professional coaching. I treat clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and emotion regulation issues. I use evidence-based practices and approaches backed by research that integrates wisdom from many disciplines. You already have a great wealth of inherent wisdom. Intentional engagement through counseling provides access to help in a professional and confidential context. You can find the insight, tools, and confidence you need to move forward in your life. Together we will explore, understand, and build a plan so you can experience the results, hope, and relief you are seeking. Contact me today and we can get started.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that who you are and what you bring into this world are both needed and wanted. When life gets confusing, difficult, and painful, we need to pause and remember we did not get here on our own---and that we are part of a larger complex community. There is still room for the individual expression of being an introvert or an extrovert, or not using labels at all. I believe that you are here for a reason. No matter what your past, your suffering, your overwhelming thoughts, or traumatic experiences...these things do not define the core truth of who you are and they do not need to limit what you can become. We are here to create, contribute, and collaborate for a better world. The world needs you and your contribution. Counseling can help you better understand, confront, and overcome obstacles that stand in the way of you flourishing.
