About My Clients
Being an adult can be challenging. You may be still trying to figure out who you are while also entering life transitional stages such as going to college, moving out, beginning a new career, starting a family, and entering or leaving long-term relationships. Sometimes, life transitions can bring up complicated feelings or even mental health challenges, especially when you are already trying to heal from trauma. I offer a safe space for you to heal, grow, and step into your power.
My Background and Approach
Often times, wounds from our childhood can come up in our interpersonal relationships and day to day lives. These wounds can manifest themselves as low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. I utilize an attachment lens for us to gain insight into how our past painful experiences might be impacting us in the present. As a therapist, I am also a firm believer that we are all composed of different parts of us. Some of our parts are protective, some are angry, and some are more vulnerable. Amongst the different parts of us there is also the Self, which is who we are at the core. In our sessions, I will provide a safe space for all of the different parts of you to be seen and heard, while also helping you find balance for a more peaceful, harmonious, and fulfilling life that you deserve to live.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a biracial (Filipina & Black) Cis-gender woman, I have had my own personal experiences with racism and sexism. But I am also aware of some of the privileges that my mixed identity can bring. As a therapist that is passionate about social justice and the human condition, I will provide a warm and affirming space for you to be seen, heard, and validated.
