About My Clients

I work with individuals across a range of concerns including anxiety, grief and loss, symptoms of trauma, early childhood traumatic abuse and harm, life transitions, religious harm, family of origin issues; along with those who would like to improve the relationships in their life. I am particularly passionate in exploring the role that early attachment relationships have in how we navigate the world.

My Background and Approach

Previously I worked with young children and their parents, supporting the attachment relationship in the face of trauma and systemic hardship. In my practice with adults I am passionate about integrating that work by supporting my clients in understanding how their background and childhood has shaped them, specifically how their attachment relationship shows up throughout their life and in relationships. I support the therapeutic journey by noticing patterns that stem from these painful parts of our life, creating space for self compassion, and inviting our bodies to integrate these narratives in a healthy way. My approach is centered on a relational partnership that empowers clients to take ownership of their healing while honoring their story. I believe that the foundation of this work is curiosity, kindness, and compassion in order build a trusting therapeutic relationship as we navigate your healing journey together.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that often the emotional pain found in our lives can be traced back to experiences and relationships in our past. Too often we are not given the space to acknowledge these hurts and are expected to carry the weight of it alone. I believe humans are complex beings and that too often that complexity is not met with the dignity that it is owed. Through relationships with ourselves and others we can begin to unpack messages we have received throughout our life. I’m drawn to this work because I have experience first hand as a client and as a therapist in witnessing how impactful this work can be. I delight in seeing clients finding the freedom to be comfortable in themselves, honoring the parts of them that need love and care, and growing their compassion for their story.
