About My Clients
I am an AASECT certified Sex Therapist, who works with individuals and couples who identify as LGBTQIA+, Kinky, Sex Workers, or practice Polyamory/Consensual Non-monogamy. I help any client interested in experiencing a more fulfilling and balanced relationship with sexuality or gender and is looking to heal from trauma.
My Background and Approach
I have extensive training working with issues related to sex and sexual expression including: performance anxiety, painful sex, erectile dysfunction, problems with orgasm, desire differences among couples, out of control behavior and shame related to sexuality. I also have training in Internal Family Systems and work with trauma using this modality.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about providing an inclusive space of all sexual and gender expressions. I strive to remain sensitive to social disparities and the impact they can have on mental health. Additionally, I value the connection between the body and the mind, which I integrate in my practice holistically through emotional and somatic awareness. I find our body carries a lot of wisdom, and by learning to listen to it, we can find work through the past traumas and painful experiences. I use a strengths-based perspective when working with clients, and steer away from labeling and viewing people as a particular diagnosis or pathology. I value authenticity, humor, empathy and creativity.
