About My Clients
Many individuals I work with are on a quest for peace and understanding amidst life's intricacies. Together we develop goals that are uniquely suited to address the stressors or sadness they may be experiencing. While some people prefer conventional talk therapy, others opt for creative modalities (painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture) to explore novel pathways toward self-understanding and interpersonal relationships. No art experience is required to engage in art therapy services.
My Background and Approach
With twenty years of clinical practice, I customize therapeutic approaches to meet your specific needs, steering clear of a singular method. My extensive clinical experience spans diverse settings, including schools, foster care, hospitals, and group practices, serving both children and adults. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I help navigate and unpack the complexities of your intersecting identities and explore how systemic factors affect movement toward achieving your goals. As a Board Certified Art Therapist, I promote the use of art-making as a non-verbal tool to address challenges and uncover desired outcomes. This holistic approach allows for a deeper understanding of yourself and the world in which you live. Art Therapy is also effective through Telehealth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Finding mental wellness support can be tough, especially if you've struggled to connect with a therapist. I aim to create a welcoming space where you feel genuinely heard and supported, fostering a nurturing environment tailored to your needs. Imagine a space where you can be completely yourself, free from judgment or expectations. That's what I strive to provide—a sanctuary where you can explore, reflect, and heal. My practice is built on trust, respect, and authenticity, ensuring that you feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way. I firmly believe that consulting with licensed practitioners is essential to delivering the highest quality of care to the individuals I support. I may not always have all the answers to the challenges that may arise, but I am committed to finding them. As an artist myself, I am aware of the benefits of playing and creating with materials to better understand myself and others.
