Well done on taking the first step in a journey toward wellness. The most important aspect of therapy is finding a person who makes you feel safe and heard. Developmental trauma shapes how we see the world, sometimes unsafe and challenging to navigate. Our attachments are the foundations in which we trust or find conflict. Developmental trauma may manifest in the body as anxiety, stress, distress, relationship difficulties, depression and more. There is healing to be found here, to be understood and nourished.
I have training and experience in working in the realms of trauma, attachment disruptions, complicated grief and loss, sexuality, and LGBTQ+ persons through identity explorations, coming out and transitions. I have 170+ hours in attachment training; I have completed TAC (Training on Adoption Competency through CASE Foundation). I enjoy working through emotions, trauma and somatic experiencing. I enjoy somatic work; learning to trust the body and the stories it tells.
