Majority of my practicum training (pre-degree internship) was spent working at an LGBTQ+ community center that also provides mental health treatment. Not only have I provided therapeutic services to the community, I actively participate in the center's programmatic planning that allowed me the unique opportunity to see more than just mental health issues within the community.
A number of my clientele have been those struggling with gender identity issues as is inherent in the facility that I practice. I believe that Gender-affirming treatment is an important way of working with all clients at any level of care.
I specialize in Expressive Arts Therapy through my education and in practice. I am a member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA) and attend conferences whenever I can. Mental health issues often coincide with an individual's inability to express themselves fully. The creative process can help folks get back in touch with the self through an expression of the body, mind, and spirit.
I specialize in Expressive Arts Therapy through my education and in practice. Such specialization is holistic in nature as I address the connection between the mind, body, and spirit through creative arts exploration.
