About My Clients
Many people are struggling with overwhelm, anxiety, and fear. We can work together to uncover strengths, identify resources, and learn tools to help reduce suffering in the struggles of whatever life has on your table. With a willingess to receive focused care, direction, and input into your symptoms and struggles, we can build an increased sense of wellbeing and confidence.
My Background and Approach
I am an empathic listener who will help you uncover inner strengths and explore outside resources to help you manage feelings of upset, overwhelm, and fear. I provide tools to use in-the-moment and out-of-the-moment when stressors are intense, when emotions and anxiety are high, or when you're wondering if it's you, everyone around you, or just life in general causing you to feel all types of ways. I will help you look at some sources of stress and teach you practical strategies you can use that may help you begin to feel more settled and less overwhelmed. My trainings in Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy inform my approach to counseling.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My experience working on a crisis line fostered and solidified my belief that we have a common human experience that connects us to one another, and that those connections are of high importance in our lives. I strongly believe in the value of all, that we are all doing the best that we can at any given time, and that there is hope to be found when it might seem like it is hard to find.
