About My Clients
I work with adults and adolescents to develop positive coping skills for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, addiction, anger management, stress management LGBTQ issues, grief, and trauma. I help my clients learn how to identify triggers and develop tools to cope and manage their symptoms.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in many settings, including inpatient mental health, addiction treatment centers, and psychiatric hospitals. My specialty is cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused and motivational therapy. I help my clients better manage their thoughts, beliefs, and emotions that contribute to issues affecting their life's goals and successes. I help clients by working together to develop coping skills for life's challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we can all benefit from therapy and learn new tools to cope with life's challenges. I have learned the tools to help manage my own symptoms of anxiety and depression so they did not have control over me. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is that they are unhealthy learned behaviors and ones we have learned through our experiences. I participate in suicide awareness and the LGBTQ community. If you want to learn more about how I can help you, call for a free 15-minute consultation. You can also email me and visit my website.
