About My Clients
I specialize in treating mature teens and adults with OCD and other anxiety-related issues. I work with parents of anxious children to help them learn how to support their kids and reduce their anxiety, as well as work with parents struggling with adult children who have become dependent (failure to launch). I also have extensive training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
My Background and Approach
I use evidence-based techniques to help you and your loved ones understand what's even happening, and then how to help change it. Sometimes therapy can be challenging and even exhausting. It helps to have someone guide you through the tough times who knows that you can come out the other end stronger. I have extensive experience in treating OCD, and in helping parents of anxious children in providing support through the SPACE model, which stands for Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Finding the balance between self-acceptance and also pushing for inner growth and change can be difficult. I try my best to accept people as they are, while also helping them to grow and learn better skills and techniques for getting to where they want to be in life.
