About My Clients
Often, we feel lonely and disconnected from our friends, family, and life in general. It may feel like you are outside looking in and don't know how to break through. We can feel disconnected for various reasons, including past trauma or fear of trusting others. Therapy can help by providing a safe and supportive space to explore your feelings, process trauma, and develop healthy coping mechanisms, which will help you learn how to set boundaries and build meaningful, connected relationships.
My Background and Approach
I believe that one of the most important aspects of therapy is the relationship between myself and you, my client. I believe that it is from this relationship that healing and change can occur. I have been trained to look at client’s stories through the lens of trauma, even if the trauma may seem small it can have an impact on your relationships and connections with others. Together, we will look for relational patterns, attachment styles, and how trauma has impacted you and your life. We will also explore how these patterns are affecting your relationships. You'll be able to gain insight into how your past is affecting your life and how to begin to make changes for the future.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are each created to live a life full of hope, to be deeply connected to others through relationships, and to live in restoration. However, during our lives, events happen to us that strain our hope, relationships are broken, and restoration feels distant. Through seeking therapy, I hope you will begin to turn towards the future by looking at the past. I am an active member of our community and have volunteered for various organizations, including my local fire department, arts community, and organizations that help families in need.
