About My Clients
I'm honored to work with individuals, consult with families, & work with other therapists. I have a certificate in EMDR, and training in IFS & other systems. I provide supervision & training to other clinicians or groups. I support many paths in the journey to self-healing & becoming able to embody the person you are. Focusing on uplifting voices that have been marginalized and giving gender-affirming and sexuality-affirming care to adolescents and adults.
My Background and Approach
I describe myself as "not your usual therapist." I'm dynamic, consciously decolonizing my work and treat all clients as the expert in their lives. I take a whole life, whole spirit and multi-generational approach to healing. I like to work with other healers and people who may be feeling like the path they want to work with doesn't fit into "typical therapy".
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all care starts with consent. I am not perfect and know my privilege. I miss things and I want to be told if I have. In order to make that possible I try and speak plainly, let people decide when they are ready to share, and saying "No, not now, let's put that on a list someplace and talk about it never," are all acceptable options. Trust is not an immediate given. That is something that needs being built. I believe that all parts of a person are valid and valuable, even the ones we don't like. I work spirit to spirit and that the connection between people is a necessity for healing.
