About My Clients
Our practice is telehealth only. My primary focus is on marginalized and BIPOC clients, LGBTQ+ clients, people in polyamorous, open, and alternative relationships, and people in the kink and BDSM communities. I offer free 20 minute consults. Please see my website at www.flowartwa.com There are also many therapists in my practice who work with a wide range of specialties and are taking new clients in Washington, including our interns who see clients at discounted rates. My Background and Approach
My belief is that counseling is a collaborative process of finding balance in your life. We will work together to discover the best possible approach to meet your needs and the goals that you wish to achieve during counseling. I will provide support in a person-centered, humanistic, and strengths-based approach to help you meet and exceed your goals, while sometimes using art and creative tools to deepen the exploration of your goals. I believe that counseling should be recovery-oriented, eventually leading you to develop skills and tools to rely on yourself and your support system during the ebbs and flows of life. I am trained in EMDR and use this in many of my treatments. I regularly use creativity and art in my personal and professional life. I identify myself as both an artist and a therapist, and I have experienced the power of using creativity from both identities. We may explore some aspects of your creativity during our work together, as a coping tool toward your recovery.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I know what it feels like to experience difficult stressors in life. My life experiences have led me here, to help guide you through the fog of your symptoms and into a more meaningful and content life. I am a sex-positive, kink affirmative therapist and I would love to be your support in your self-improvement journey. I know you are capable and strong enough to do this because you have already taken the biggest step: finding a therapist. My personal and professional experiences have given me specialized insight into working with individuals who are involved in open and alternative relationships and polyamorous relationships. I love working within the polyamorous and kink communities and would be honored to help you navigate the challenges within your life’s experience. I can provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement for services.
