About My Clients
My clients include a diverse array of individuals. From my viewpoint, diversity goes beyond racial, cultural, and religious diversity. Diversity also includes differences in sexual orientation; gender identity; religion; socioeconomic status; physical, psychological, and educational ability; differences in resident status, and a wide range of ages. In my view, diversity also includes diversity of thought. For, how can we truly grow if we don't expand the pool of those we know and interact with?
My Background and Approach
As a psychodynamically oriented therapist, I'm also influenced by a range of other approaches. Ultimately I consider myself integrative as I draw from feminism, humanism, existentialism and many other influences. My two invaluable training experiences were with The Center for Grief, Loss and Transition in St. Paul and the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society and Institute's Psychotherapy Center in Uptown, Minneapolis. I also have a certificate in Narcissistic abuse.
