About My Clients

You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or lonely as a parent. Maybe this isn’t what you thought motherhood would be like. Maybe your birth didn’t go as expected or was even really scary and you find yourself feeling worried all the time. Maybe the new demands of motherhood feel hard to manage (hello, sleep deprivation!) and you find yourself feeling irritable and angry. And maybe it’s hard or feels shameful to admit how you’re feeling. I understand, and I'm here to help.

My Background and Approach

I view my role as a therapist for moms as being a supportive partner and a compassionate guide and witness to your unique experience. I provide judgement-free support to help you emotionally process the huge transitions that becoming a mother brings, offering an environment where you can express and process difficult emotions. You know yourself best - my goal is to walk with you as you grow, change, and integrate your new identity as a mom into who you are. We work together as a team to help you meet challenges and make changes to feel confident and supported as a mom. You’ll develop and build up the skills and social supports you need to cope and be empowered to discover ways to make mental and emotional health a priority - caring for yourself while caring for others. Whether it’s your first pregnancy or you’ve been a mother for years, it’s my privilege to help you make sense and meaning out of your role as a mother.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone deserves support during the postpartum and parenting stages. It’s impossible to predict how big changes like pregnancy, fertility challenges, becoming a parent, pregnancy loss, adoption, or returning to work as a parent will impact your relationships or how you feel about yourself and your identity. Everyone’s experience is unique, but you are not alone. I love seeing the growth and healing that happens when moms have support in calming the anxiety and chaos that can come with being a mom so they can focus on being present with joy. I specialize in perinatal mental health (mom’s mental health in the time from pregnancy through the first years of a child’s life) and my own journey into motherhood and experience of birth trauma and postpartum anxiety is what led me to working with mothers, so I know how crucial strong support and good self-care are in the postpartum and early parenting stages. If you're looking for this kind of support, I hope you'll reach out.
