About My Clients
Given my extensive experience with treating youth with anxiety and OCD, I am sensitive to the developmental considerations of working with younger populations. These are important, formative years, and I am dedicated to getting families back on track with practical skills that can be used long-term. I treat the spectrum of anxiety, OCD, and related (e.g., trichotillomania) disorders.
My Background and Approach
I am licensed psychologist with over 10 years of experience in anxiety and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders (OCRDs) in youth. I previously served on faculty at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior, where I conducted clinical research and provided clinical services and supervision for the treatment of youth with anxiety and OCD. I have extensive training in the gold-standard, evidence-based practices for assessing and treating these disorders, and often conduct workshops to train mental health clinicians (nationally and internationally). I specialize in exposure-based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Habit Reversal Training (HRT). Treatment is meant to be collaborative, time-limited, goal-directed, and skills-based. I use a family-based approach to treating these disorders, though treatment is always tailored to the needs of each individual. Please visit my website for more information.
