About My Clients
I have experience working with adolescents, college students, and adults. It brings me joy to hold space for hurting individuals, especially those struggling with an eating disorder. I have walked alongside those struggling with distorted eating or body image issues, depression, anxiety, OCD, low self-esteem, and dealing with stress or life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I am a LPC-Associate, supervised by Kelley Doss, LPC-S, CEDS. I received both my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. I am a Christian and this influences how I see individuals: unique, worthy of love, and whole. I have experience working with individuals who share my beliefs, as well as those who hold different convictions. I believe it is possible to sit across from someone who is different or holds differing beliefs, and still create a healthy-strong therapeutic relationship where both parties can learn from one another. It is important to me to see my clients through a holistic perspective. I will take into account your physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and environmental experiences. I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with clients. I also understand that what may work with one client may not work with another, so I often pull from different theoretical perspectives to best meet the needs of my clients.
