I was born in the USSR and have first-hand experience with cultural/familial adjustment to the United States and other cultural difficulties that many people experience. I understand that those of us that do come from different cultures may have adjustment issues and conflicts when it comes to conforming to societal expectations vs the culture that we are brought up with. Such experiences usually bring us identity issues, adjustment issues, social anxiety, anxiety.

I have personal experience with eating disorders and have spent many years working in treatment facilities centered around the treatment of them. I treat eating disorders holistically and address all comorbidities that the individual may experience to ensure that all previous trauma/symptoms/behaviors are addressed and processed to prevent relapse and promote healing.

In order to have secure interpersonal relationships with others, we must have a secure one with ourselves. I work with identifying attachment-based issues, potential co-dependency, communication issues and manage conflicts within the relationship framework. I further enjoy working with couples in couples therapy to restore and repair the dynamic to a more fulfilling and satisfying relationship.
